FAMILY NEWS: April & May 2023 / Marriage, graduations & gardening

Hello friend,

I hope your summer is off to a good start! I am behind on sending April's Family News due to being a bit busy in May…. I got married to best man in the whole world – Matthew Manry. Our wedding day was wonderful. We are so grateful to all of our family and friends who came to celebrate with us. Our marriage has been prayed for by many and we are overjoyed as we walk into this new season of our lives together.

Our Kenya team did an amazing job holding down the fort while I took two weeks off to be present for our wedding and honeymoon. We have several exciting updates to share!

All of the other girls are doing well and working hard at their studies! Kenya's school schedule is different than ours in the U.S., so they enjoyed two weeks off in the beginning of May and are now back to school! During their break, they began helping in the new family garden at the new Safe House, learning the process of preparing the ground for planting. They weren't super thrilled to work in the heat (not many teenagers would be, ha!), but we are proud of them for pitching in to help the family!

I hope as you read these stories and see these pictures, you can grasp the tangible impact you are making in the lives of these girls. Your generosity is what makes it possible for us to not only educate our girls through high school, but to also continue their higher education so they can be given every opportunity possible to thrive within their communities. Valine and Catherine have bright, stable futures available to them because of your commitment. Thank you!!!

If you are not currently a monthly partner, I'd like to invite you to join The Family. To help meet the growing needs of our Restorative Program in Kenya this year, we need 33 new people to partner with us at $50 a month.

Together for the one,

Caitlin
